Frequently Asked Questions
In this section, we collected frequently asked questions and asked one of the leading specialists in the field of IVF to answer them, our director and owner of the clinic of reproductive medicine “NADIYA” – Dr. Valery Zukin, whose latest discoveries appeared in all of the world’s leading media:
“I tried to answer all the questions in the most accessible way, including what you should know, what to avoid, and what not to fear while visiting the Clinic of Reproductive Medicine. I hope this information will help you choose a high-quality clinic and defeat infertility.” – Dr. Valery Zukin.
In order to understand whether you need the help of our clinic specialists, you should know the following: The ideal age to get pregnant is from 16 to 28 years, during this age, a woman has the highest chances of getting pregnant, both naturally and by resorting to IVF. Apart of it, at the age of 28 years, the quality and number of eggs in the female body in a normal state of health is 100,000 on average, which is more than enough to obtain the desired number of healthy embryos.
According to international standards, “the reasons for visiting an IVF specialist” include:
1) If the patient is under 35 years old – after having been attempting to become pregnant naturally for a year.
2) If a woman is over 35 years old – after having been attempting to become pregnant naturally for half a year.
If the patient is over 35 years old, the chances of getting pregnant naturally rapidly decrease with each passing year, and by the age of 42-44, they are almost zero. Until recently, in cases like this, it was necessary to use only the egg of the donor, which, although giving the joy of motherhood, did not transfer any genes from the mother of the child.
Until 2016, it was considered impossible.
In 2017, a new technique for treating infertility called the pronuclear transfer technique was discovered. This discovery took place at the clinic of reproductive medicine “NADIYA” thanks to excellent world-class specialists and advanced IVF equipment.

No! Statistically speaking, in 35% of affected married couples, it is the man who suffers from infertility. For this reason, we request the test results of both partners. It will help us quickly and accurately determine the cause of infertility and, of course, find a way to resolve the issue.
If you have any tests that you have taken at your local clinic, send the results to us. Doctors at the “NADIYA” clinic will calculate FOR FREE the chance of you getting pregnant successfully, the possible treatment options for infertility, the number of possible IVF cycles for the occurrence of pregnancy, the number of days needed for staying in Kiev, and the number of necessary medications.
The calculation is done using a specially developed computational algorithm “efficiency calculator,” which takes into account all sorts of scenarios for the outcome of treatment with certain indicators of patient analysis. To make adjustments, statistics are made for all cases similar to yours since the clinic’s existence and up to today.
Not sure which tests you need?
Call us or email us and we will tell you what analysis to pass at your local clinic.
If you come to Kiev for treatment in our clinic, we will conduct all the tests completely for free!*
*If you want to learn what to do – contact us now.
Your test results should be no older than 6 months.
The study of the test results of each patient and the conclusions based on them are prepared exclusively under my direction.
If the patient has no medical contraindications, the maximum allowable age of the patients of the clinic of reproductive medicine “NADIYA” is 52 years old.
The biggest danger when having several unsuccessful attempts is not really about the amount of money it cost you but rather the struggling that the couple goes through when having an infertility problem.
In cases where a couple comes to us with an unsuccessful experience in dealing with infertility, we retake all the tests to find out the cause of infertility.
Interesting to know!
We’ve had patients from 34 countries come to us for the treatment of infertility, and from each country, there was at least one couple who had a bad experience (more than two attempts) in the past.
In our practice, there was a case where a couple went through 8 (!) IVF cycles at a local clinic, and all their attempts did not give the desired result – to become happy parents. The chances of success of getting a child for this couple was relatively low (15%). However, our specialists managed to help the patient achieve a sustained pregnancy in the 3rd attempt.
In our opinion, there can be many reasons for such amount of unsuccessful attempts in other clinics starting from the lack of qualified personnel to the lack of equipment, which should be present in a modern IVF clinic.
Our advice would be to contact clinics with proper medical equipment and licenses that comply with international standards of the clinics of reproductive medicine.
We use the technique of transferring two embryos, but in a particular sequence, which allows minimizing the onset of multiple pregnancies to 1%. This unique technique was developed by the head doctor, Dr. Viktor Veselovsky, in 2016. It has been successfully applied in practice for patients of the “NADIYA” Clinic of Reproductive Medicine.
There is no scientific or medical research known to us that would indicate that it is dangerous.
The only thing that requires our treatment protocol is that the patient must stay in Kiev for 24 hours after the procedure, but this is due to the observation of the patient’s response to the procedure. After 24 hours, you’re free to return home.
The number of days and visits is individual for each case.
Treatment course usually takes 8-14 days.
For a more detailed calculation of the number of days and visits, contact us in any way that is convenient for you.
Yes, you can start the stimulation at home. To do this, we will send you a special plan for undergoing stimulation with dates for blood tests and ultrasound. The cost of medicines in each country is different. In the pharmacy of the “NADIYA” clinic, the approximate cost of drugs for the cycle of infertility varies from $400 to $1,300.
We do not send medicines by post
Yes, it is possible in the “NADIYA” clinic. To do this, you need to make a DNA diagnosis of the embryo.
Thanks to this test, the embryologist can see the number of embryo chromosomes (karyotype) – in a healthy fetus, there are 46 chromosomes — 22 pairs of autosomes and one pair of sex chromosomes XX or XY. If you get to learn the last pair, you can determine the sex of the child before birth.
After determining the presence of male or female chromosomes, the doctor uses the embryos with the particular set that future parents want.
Yes, we can cryopreserve embryos. Our clinic uses advanced technology called “instant freezing”, and thanks to it, the chance of embryo survival during thawing is 97%.
If the patient is properly prepared for the IVF and complies with the proper time intervals for repeated IVF cycles, there are no restrictions on the number of attempts. In short, you can make as many attempts as you need to get pregnant.
This is perhaps the most frequently asked question.
Since each case is individual, with the most accurate probability, this question can be answered only after seeing you and your partner’s test results. Please send all the necessary data to our email, and I’ll definitely look at them and write you my recommendations. All this completely for free.
If your chance to get pregnant after one IVF cycle is not very high– do not worry, we have effective fertility treatment programs that can significantly increase the chances of winning in the fight against infertility, even in cases with a minimal chance of success! Together with a team of professionals, we will help you to become happy parents!
Based on many years of experience, the “NADIYA” clinic has created a special “effective program” package. We are so confident in it that if we for some reason fail to get you pregnant upon completion of this program, we will refund your money! In this program, you get 4 cycles of infertility treatment. The average success rate of achieving pregnancy in the “effective program” is 90%!
What does it mean? If you do not get pregnant after the first cycle, you’re free to undergo another cycle without any additional payments (not counting the cost of medicines), and so on till the third and fourth cycle. If, after the fourth cycle, you are unable to get pregnant, we will return 90% of the amount of the “effective program” package!
Our clinic is the first in Europe to give such a money-back guarantee, and perhaps one of not so many in the world that includes four cycles of infertility treatment in their “effective program” package.
The costs of the program may vary depending on the age and state of health of the patient. For details, contact us by phone or via e-mail
Our clinic does not provide such an option for citizens of other countries.
We recommend avoiding heavy physical loads, especially ones leading to an increase in body temperature. If doing sports is an integral part of your life, we advise you to limit yourself to simple exercising, walking, swimming, yoga, etc., during the period of infertility treatment.
Of course, during the treatment, you will have to forget about visiting sauna, as well as taking hot baths, going in jacuzzies, visiting tanning beds, or relaxing under the scorching sun.
We recommend refraining from having sex for two weeks after the IVF procedure.
In some cases, we might advise another period of abstinence from sexual activity. No worries, we will definitely inform you when you can enjoy each other again without any risks for the future baby.
Each case is individual. To draw up an accurate treatment plan, we need to see your test results first.
Here is an example of a response regarding a visit of a heterosexual married couple to the “NADIYA” clinic based on their test results:
The entire program can take between two weeks to three months, but it does not mean that you have to stay in Kiev during all this time. The first visit usually takes up to 7 days and includes meeting with your doctor, your husband giving his sperm and, if necessary, passing additional tests.
The second visit is about 3 days, and it is meant only for a woman, for embryo transfer.
Also, it’s possible only for your husband to come for the first visit. He’ll only need to sign the necessary documents and deliver the sperm. In this case, the spouse comes only for the second visit – to transfer embryos.
This can take between two to three weeks from the time you receive your test results. For more detailed information and to calculate the chance of success in the fight against infertility, send us your test results by mail. We will advise you what to do ABSOLUTELY FOR FREE!
